About Disabled Ariana

Hello, and welcome to my website! My name is Ariana, and I'm excited to share my story with you.
I am late recognized autistic, and have been dealing with chronic illness since I was 8 years old. Despite these challenges, I've had a successful career in education and theater.
I've worked extensively in K-12 education, including special education classrooms, and have also taught courses in higher education. In addition to my work in the classroom, I'm also responsible for overseeing the venue and designing lights for productions. I even teach a technical theater course!
One of my passions is making sure that everyone has access to the arts. As part of my work, I've overseen accessibility at multiple venues and have pushed for important changes, such as ASL interpreters for all performance runs and audio description for our last musical. I also instituted a policy that the wheelchair accessible spot must be available at all times, instead of only when requested.
I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to participate in the arts, and I'm committed to making that a reality. I'd love to work with you to make your events accessible. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me!
